a2940 (hey, i put a lot of those in intel boxes in the 90s....),

Scalix as of today does not officially support chinese character sets; our official support is currently limited to western european character sets. Some combinations of asian character set data actually do work with both SWA and Outlook. The subject field through it's special encoding is certainly one of the most difficult areas.

The major release of Scalix will have much broader support for character sets based on the Unicode standard. Looking at our growing asian customer base, this will certainly include chinese character sets.

If you need more information on the availability of this, please contact Scalix Sales.

Cheers,
Florian.
