Unable To Delete Trash ... ?

My mailstore has slowly been growing in size. It started at 6 Gigabytes several months ago and is now at 11 Gigabytes with about 400 users. I've run omtidyallu, but it appears that some messages aren't being deleted. For example, here's the administrator's account, as reported by omscan -u mailadmin:

Code: Select all

DESCRIPTION                     INBOX OUTBOX   SENT OTHERS  TRASH  TOTAL  RCVRY (KB)

mailadmin /pop,crawfordbroadca      1      1      1     21  58540  58564      1

I've run the following commands (as root, logged into the Scalix server machine):

Code: Select all

omtidyallu -d -k -T w -a 0

and

omtidyu -d -k -Tiow -u mailadmin

with no effect. That huge trash folder won't get emptied.

I've got a few other users with large trash folders and I suspect a similar problem with them.

Running Scalix 11.4.6-GA on CentOS 5.5.

EDIT: I forgot to mention one other puzzling thing. I can log into SWA and it shows nothing in the wastebasket. I'm afraid I might have a corrupted mail store, but "omscan -A -a -v -f" doesn't seem to fix it.

There are a couple of things to check too.

First : maybe incorrect file permissions on store data can lead to an incorrect number of reported deleted items. Run an omcheck to verify all file permissions are ok.
Second : by using omcontain command verify that the wastebasket of that user's mailbox is really filled up with so many messages.
