How to tune up scalix

Dear scalix
Anyone have experience how to tune up for make scalix to be faster for access sac or webmail from dial-up connection...? or maybe any plugin on sac or webmail can disable for make it to be faster...?

Please sharing knowledge.

I don't think that this is possible. Both have very rich interfaces that need a lot of bandwidth. They simply are not made for modem connections.
If you use Scalix 10, then Apache should be configured to compress the output with mod_deflate. Check for a line like this in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:

Code: Select all

LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so

If that is activated then there is no possibility to tune the speed anymore.

I have check file /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf but line : LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so allready activate. Any another idea for help me with this case..??

As I said - if that is activated I'm afraid there is no way to speed SWA/SAC up. I personally wouldn't use SWA without 1-2 MBit downstream (SDSL on the server, ADSL on the client side) and I'm honestly feeling with you if that is not an option for you.
You might want to consider an IMAP client for remote work - lacking all calendar/address book features of course.
