I am not sure if its been added in Scalix 10 or not. Is multilingual feature ready in Scalix 10. earlier Scalix could not render double byte characters. So virtually if someone sends you an email from chinese, japanese or korean version windows you cannot read it in Scalix neither using connector or via web interface.

Did you include support of double byte character in it.

Vikrant,

I can tell you that we use double byte char sets (mostly JP but some others). It did NOT work at all with prior SWA (unless it was UTF-8), but now, test are showing that 2022-jp for example is rendering fine in v10 - both subject and body.

It is clear some changes were made to better accomodate asian char sets - so far I have not found bugs.

kali is right,

we've made some improvements to SWA in V10 to better support additional, including double byte, character sets. First feedback from initial customers has been positive, same as your experience.

Other parts of the system are currently limited to Western European (i.e. ISO-8859-1) type character sets; this is true for most of Outlook functionality and the directory system.

We're working on providing full international character set support in one of the next major releases of Scalix; actually it's a high priority on our list.

Stay tuned,
Cheers,
Florian.
