Your server side personal address book isn't in LDAP format, so I don't think you can use LDAP to access it.

You can set up a separate personal directory on the server.

ok here the solution:

Server: fqdn
Port: 386 or 636 with ssl
Search: o=MyContacts
Identification: simple
Username: cn="Firstname Lastname"
Password: yourpassword

My failure was the Username entry. First I try it with other loginnames or without the cn=, but now its working fine.
This is also working with kmail, thunderbird etc.

Regards

Sven,
Have you tried upgrading to Snow Leopard and did everything still work?

I've been working on Address Book access for hours now. No luck.

Best Regards,
Ben

I am having the same issues. In MacOS 10.6 there are extra fields:

Scope: One Level/Base/Subtree

I've tried all possible settings but it isn't working.
