Hi,

Im pretty new to scalix but Im using openmail and contact for a while now.
In my current production contact system I have sendmail as smtp gateway, even tho there was a smtp gateway (which i dont use)

I have an aliases file with

user: contactuser/mailnode

records in it to route incoming internet mail to contact

My current setup hosts users from 4 domains which are handled by sendmail and within contact I have users with different internet address domains. what are the mechanics in scalix and best practices to route internet mail to scalix.?

Hi tbone,

Best practices would be to use the SMTP Relay as it provides a very secure method for receiving mail. With Scalix you can have the SMTP Relay hand the message off to Sendmail prior to processing through Scalix by adding the SMTPFILTER=TRUE to your smtpd.cfg file.

Thanks,
Rachel
