I am receiving the following lines in the smtpd log and I also am worrying that I may be losing mail.

REPORT SMTP Relay (SMTPD Relay Pr) 01.06.06 11:12:09
[OM 821] System error 2 on file /var/opt/scalix/sys/unixmap.in
File Name: /var/opt/scalix/sys/unixmap.in

[OM 821] System error 2 on file /var/opt/scalix/sys/unixmap.gw
File Name: /var/opt/scalix/sys/unixmap.gw

I saw mail from someone enter the mail server yesterday and it got caught in the spam filter but it never appeared in the spam box I set up that is catching other pieces of spam. Now this morning I am getting an incredible amount of these errors and I'm very worried that things are getting lost or not delivered and I don't know what to do.

I also just found this in the Internet Mail Gateway log which shows that the system was apparently receiving mail just before 10am and now it's producing a very similar error:

Those errors can be ignored as the files they refer to do not have to be present.

It looks like you have have modified the log level on the unix g/w, is this the case ?

Cheers

I did have it set to ALL messages as I was trying to find out why the message that came in from an outside source yesterday didn't make it to me. I can see it got tagged as spam, but it didn't get referred to me like all the other spam messages do and I don't know why. I was trying to look at various logs to see if I could see anything when I found that error message and panicked.
