Disable POP3 and question of CentOS

Hi to all.... i use Scalix with FC7.

All my user work with IMAP, how to disable POP3 service ?

I read who Scalix in the future support CentOS.... this feature is in the next release of Scalix (Scalix 11.4) ?

To disable POP3 service block traffic on port 110.

You could also run
omsetsvc -i 106

That will uninstall Scalix' POP3 daemon. If you ever decide to use POP3, you'll have to reinstall it. Plus, another POP3 daemon could still be configured to listen on port 110.

So your best bet (IMO) is to block traffic on port 110.


I don't know the answer to the CentOS question.

Or you can use omsetsvc -a pop3 n - this will disable the POP3 daemon from starting with an omrc, but it can also be started later without re-installing as needed.
