Postby willie147 » Fri Mar 14, 2008 10:28 am

Hi,
The Server Failed to Send Back a valid XML Response
I had a look at the forum and saw people had this in the past but the cure was to try an update. I have the latest version of Scalix Enterprise Edition 11.3 and it is happending to loads of my users, including myself. Can someone please help. It happens when we try to send E-Mail using SWA.

Regards

Willie

The only times I have seen this it has either indicated a corrupt mailbox (if it happens consistently to only a few people), or a network disconnection that was not handled gracefully. In that case it would happen to a lot of people at more or less the same time.

My first suggestion would be to clear the IMAP cache for the users and retry to see if the issue goes away.

Hi Sorry to be a pest but Scalix is all pretty new to me and I'm none too familiar with Linux either. How would I clear the IMAP cache? I take it this is something which would need done on the Server?

I've seen this from time to time. For me, it's generally a SPAM message corrupting the mailbox somhow.
Usually, I can log into the users mailbox using Outlook, delete all the new spam I can find. And that solves it.

It's always worked like that so far.
