index.browse gone mustang

index.browse is runaway on my scalix system:
currently my mailstore (/opt) is using about 120gb of disk. From what I read this is some kind of indexer process that is supposed to run itself in the off hours. I can't kill it - it just respawns. omshut mime also had no effect.
From what I read, the runaway bug is meant to be fixed???
(haven't updated to scalix 1.3 yet, btw, doing that asap...)
