Deleted user still included in group email listing

Postby b0fh » Tue Feb 26, 2008 5:39 am

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to be posting this inquiry - if not sorry in advance.

I am running Scalix 10.0.1.21 and I have recently deleted a user who was part of a group alias. I did not remove them from the group previous to deleting the user (through SAC).

The problem is that now when emailing the group alias ex: adminstaff@ourdomain, it's still including the deleted email address in the group, so we get a bounce message as below (email replaced with x@x)

Subject: Returned mail: see transcript for details

TIA -- hope that this is a common problem and just off topic -- is it pretty easy to upgrade Scalix? :P

Thanks

Hi,

use
omdelpdln -l "<listname>" -n "<username>"

to remove the user from the list

Hi there.

Thanks for the response, I did try it out and got the following

I did as such:

omdelpdln -l "groupname" -n "username"

omdelpdln : [OM 18025] The requested name is not in the PDL

I checked out the manual for omdelpdln to no success -- sorry for being a a n00b to openmail tools.

AM i doing something wrong?

Is there a way I can search users username to use?

Do a omshowpdln -l "groupname" and see if the name appears in the list.

Yes, I suspect Valerion is correct and it will show in the PDL but cannot be deleted as it cannot ference the apparent internal address in the address book. I have found the only way to getrid of some of these rogue PDL entries is to:

omshowpdln -l <pdlname > /tmp/myfile
ommodent -e s=<pdlname. -n dl-members=

edit /tmp/myfile to delete the rogue entry, then:

omaddpdln -l <pdlname> -f /tmp/myfile
