I don't even know where to begin on this issue.

I came into work to day to find part of the Scalix server down. there were a ton of errors in fatal all consisting of iconv.cs. I didn't have that file but I have fixed that issue now.

Here is the problem that I currently have. SMTP is only working 1 way. I can send messages though telnet and from the out side using name@domain.com. I can send email though Scalix internally only using "name proper". I can't seem to send email from Scalix via SMTP using name@doamin.com, to either scalix server or to an outside email address.

If anyone has an idea please let me know.

That seemed to have fixed my issue. What I still do not understand is what would cause this not to start up in the first place. As when I restarted the service I got a failed on stopping it. That tells me it wasn't running in the first place. Is there another server that is supposed to start this service when the server starts?

There's a startup script that's supposed to start it (should be in /etc/init.d). Check that this is indeed starting, or if it showed any errors.
