Problem einkreisen

Postby patrick88296 » Wed Mar 28, 2007 3:42 am

Hello

Thanks for your Reply's. It seems, that you are right, but now I have a Problem with this sxqueryadmin user.

Code: Select all

root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick# omldapsearch -h cadmoserver2.net.cadmo.ch -D "cn=sxqueryadmin" -w myPassword objectclass=*
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials

Ah, wrong password????

I tried

Code: Select all

root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick# ommodu -o sxqueryadmin -p myPassword
ommodu : [OM 8040] The user can't be found, or has been deleted.

ui, a little bit confusing right now. I try

Code: Select all

root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick# omaddu -n sxqueryadmin/cadmo --class=limited -c admin -p mypassword sxqueryadmin
omaddu : [OM 8256] The Internet Address is already assigned to
another local user on the mailnode.
root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick#

The other Guy said fqdn

Code: Select all

omaddu -n sxqueryadmin/cadmo --class=limited -c admin -p mypassword sxqueryadmin@cadmoserver2.net.cadmo.ch
omaddu : [OM 8256] The Internet Address is already assigned to
another local user on the mailnode.
root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick#

ok no change at all....

Try to delete the user sxqueryadmin

Code: Select all

root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick# omdelu -n sxqueryadmin/cadmo
[OM 8040] The user can't be found, or has been deleted.

omdelu: No users were deleted
root@cadmoserver2:/home/patrick#

any sugesstions. Is it possible, that the Problem has to do with the Email-Adress Generating Rules? I have seen Email-adresses like s@net.cadmo.ch for sxadmin. maybe also for sxqueryadmin? How can I check this?.

I still can't logon to SAC. Webmail works.

Thanks

Patrick[/code]

solved for me

Jupiiii

Solve it myself.....

As I was dealing with the admin users (deleted ist an recreate) i have seen a Problem with my Generating Rules. It produced Emailaddr. like s@domain.ch

So I changed th rules as described in the manual-installation wiki an recreated the users (sxqueryadmin and sxadmin), restarted the server (as a windows-user will do always...) and now its working with des sac login.

Im not absolutly shure, that this was the Problem because i tryed a lot of things and om-commands (good for learning)

Thanks again for this cool software....

Ok, I assume you meant the file scalix-caa.log because the file you mentioned doesn't exist.

Here's what I found in that log, I just tried to login to SAC and got the same error as always. Here's what the log says:

Code: Select all

2007-03-28 23:14:01,961 ERROR [GetServerNameGenerationRules.createSOAPResponseMessage:140] null
2007-03-28 23:14:02,356 ERROR [GetServerMailAddressGenerationRules.createSOAPResponseMessage:152] null
2007-03-28 23:14:02,825 ERROR [GetPasswordSettings.createSOAPResponseMessage:237] null
2007-03-28 23:14:03,216 ERROR [RESServiceHandler.GetMailNodesList:960] Server mail.mydomain.com terminated with status ERROR:514 - Exception -
2007-03-28 23:14:03,217 ERROR [GetMailNodesList.buildResponseMessage:104] Skipping server mail.mydomain.com. No document received!

Any ideas based on this info?

Ok, so, now armed with the new knowledge of an actual error message, I started doing some more searching, and found this:

viewtopic.php?t=5046&highlight=514

It's an error report from the Scalix 11 RC1 that was apparently producing this same exact behavior. Does anyone know if/how this was solved? Is it possible that it was fixed with RC2, but then broken again before release, or was it never verified and thus never fixed?

We had the problem that we could login to webmail but not to SAC and managed to solve it :

Our background is that the standard Scalix installation was not compatible with the way we had previously defined our Virtual Hosts. My route around this was to include the Scalix connector config files from within the Virtual Host section for the domain name I wanted to use (eg www.ourcompany.biz). This is fine for webmail but in calling /SAC a call is generated to http://mymachine.myisp.co.uk:80/RES.

As I had put my Scalix connector files in the Virtual Host for www.mycompany.biz only, the messages to mymachine.myisp.co.uk were not getting forwarded to Tomcat. I just added another Virtual Host setup for mymachine.myisp.co.uk that called the same Scalix connector files as above and the problem was solved. :D

Hope this helps someone.

Anyone know what happened with this old bug? It apparently wasn't permanently fixed since others and my self are still having this problem. My restart script works for now, but only in the mornings, and I still have to reboot the server once a week or so.

unstable

Fixed my issues with login to SAC

I'm posting this as I hope it helps someone else, I spent quite a bit of time getting this stuff to work.

After I setup my scalix server to authenticate using active directory I was unable to login to the SAC but was able to login to Webmail. I fought for this for a while. Anytime I did the omldapquery for sxqueryadmin it would fail with invalid credentials, even though the user and password were correct. I simply deleted the sxqueryadmin user and added it again and it worked for me. Hope this helps...
