Forwarder (to outside address)

Using Scalix 10 on RHEL4-

I am able to create the user using the omaddent method... however the message appears to be accepted by the server, then after some delay the message:
dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: 421 SMTP service not available, closing transmission channel
shows up in /var/log/messages

... and of course the message is never forwarded.

I can send the message with no apparent log message or NDR but nothing gets forwarded. I am sending from anywhere to another domain that I accept mail on this server. Is that still acceptable? Running on 11.4 on CentOS 5.
