No, I haven't figured out how to do it, and frankly, I don't even think it can be done looking at how Scalix processes mail with Sendmail.
I've been thinking about doing exactly what netpenthe has done as this would cut the Scalix->Scalix scanning and increase performance on the box. But on the other hand, we bought a new Dual Xeon 3.2 with 4Gb RAM running three 146 GB 10k SCSI drives in Raid 5 ... so we've got the power to do it all on one box

On a slower machine where the spam scanning is actually affecting performance, my only suggestion would be that of netpenthe's.
