Virtual Servers

Postby lakely » Fri Mar 31, 2006 11:54 am

We rent space at a hosting company. Our server is a virtual instance on the hosting company server. We have 8 MB RAM burstable to 1 GB. The Scalix install fails with a message saying that there is not the minimum 256 MB of RAM needed. Is there anyway around this?
Thanks

use --warn-only

(might be --warnonly I'm working from memory :) )

when you invoke the installer.

it is --warnonly. Also from memory, but I know mine is correct.

If it still fails, you can also use --debug. This will provide more loggin information in /var/log/scalix-installer-*.log

Good luck,
