Login issues.

I have a new user with a couple days of email. All of a sudden, today we cant login. Even with doing the process below, i still get an error from the imap daemon when using telnet directly to talk imap ...

ommodu my.user -p password --unlock-password

telnet localhost 143

* OK Scalix IMAP server 10.0.0.175 ready on scalix.medsphere.com
a login my.user password
a NO LOGIN failure, user name or password rejected

Any ideas?

Hi,

This *could* be due to a number of things:
a) password has expired: check the output of omshowu and omshowpwd for clue
b) the account has been locked: check the output of omshowu for clue
c) the remote client interface (RCI) is down: check the output of omstat for clue

If it is not obvious, please post these outputs to allow further analysis.

Have you setup password aging/expiry in SAC? This is new with Scalix 10.
