Exporting uses Addresses

Hi all,

i searched the forum now for a while but didn't find a answer.

How can i Export the User settings?
I know how to backup the user, but for the import they user have to exists...
so how can i export all users with all emai addresses?? Some of my users got about 5-20 addresses and i don't want to type them all in again.

Hi Toonix,

there is a quick and dirty way, but extreme caution should be taken.

omsearch -d userlist -t h -e s=* -m s/g/i/q/ou1/ia > /tmp/toonix.txt

you can use the mask to get whatever attributes you want for the users.

You can then use this file, to edit the userlist...like I say, extreme caution, make a complete bakup of your userlist before using ommodent on it

omsearch -d userlist -t h -e s=* -m @all-attr@ > /tmp/toonix.userlist.full

looks like that would work...but I still have a issue....how can i export the passwords?

Hi toonix,

passwords are also held (encryypted) in that directory (I think its something like "ual-pwd" or "ual-passwd"), so just use that.
