Spam redirection with SXAA rule

Postby stony007_de » Mon Mar 10, 2008 7:19 am

Can i set a rule which only redirect mails to an other address,
when the subject does not including "SPAM", if it is, the mail should be deleted...???

or can i set a workflow, first check for mail with "SPAM" in subject --> delete them and in the second step redirect the rest?

Hi

sxaa is now part od the core scalix.

if you do man sxaa you will see this example

sxaa --user "Sam Orr" --file "Spam?" --header "X-Spam-Status:***"

among other examples

It should be available on the Scalix wiki. Just be careful, you will need a version of sxaa that's compatible with Scalix 10, the current one uses the modified mailstore in Scalix 11. It may actually be best to get it from Scalix Support, if you are a subscription customer.

of course the example from the man-page works fine, but:

if i want to redirect all al mails to an other mailadress without the spam signatured!

i have configured 2 rules
1. Redirect all to a mail address
2. move all mails with subject "%***SPAM***%" in the spam folder

now, all my mails will redirect to the configured address.
The problem is, "ALL" mails, my "***SPAM***".
But my second rule work, too. It move all "***SPAM***" to the folder.

In the end i have 2 spammails, one in the inbox and one in the spam folder!

i have to edit the the first rule, to redirect all mails without those which has an subject with "***SPAM***"..

with outlook i can set a rule, somthing like: " SUBJECT NOT = "%***SPAM***%" "but in this Rules-Assistant, i only can configure a forwarding.

what can i do?

In this case I would create the rule in Outlook, then use tf.browse on the 3d file for the user to determine the exact rules inserted by Outlook. Then you can either use that as a template for other users, or modify sxaa to include such an option.

To get the user's mailstore directory, do a

omshowu -n "user name" -f

Check the man page for tf.browse very carefully.
