lately corrupt pdf mail attachments

Hello there,
since a while we face the issue that email attachments cannot be opened in more than 90% of the cases. It happens mostly to .pdf-files. We discussed it with several people and didn`t get a solution, yet. We run Scalix 11.2 and use F-Secure in the Company.

Has this issue been seen somewhere else, already?

Hi,

Did you need to recover some corrupt pdf fies? If so, I think you can try a utility called Advanced PDF Repair to repair your PDF file. It works rather well for my corrupt PDF files. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/

Hi Alan,

thanks for your suggestion. Yes, of course I have already repaired tons of pdf`s, meanwhile. Just I don`t think that this is the solution at the end

Together with the Scalix support we`ve been coming a bit closer to the reason and the fix to it. Seems to be related to a certain software release in conjunction with certain network settings.
