Installing Scalix 11.3.0 U1 on Fedora 8

Postby majdi » Mon Apr 07, 2008 5:19 am

Hi,

So I want to install Scalix 11.3.0 U1 on my Fedora 8 Server, I know from the Scalix release notes that Fedora 8 is not supported. Dose this mean I will have compatibility issues if I go ahead with this installation.

Has anyone attempted this?

In all likelyhood yes, you will, most likely library versions that are different. Go for CentOS, plays a LOT better with Scalix than FC.

Hi Valerion,

OK, then what version of Centos do I install, is Centos 5.1 compatible with Scalix?

Any CentOS 4 or 5 release is compatible, the minor version number does not matter.
