Is it possible for multiple Enterprise Scalix servers to simultaneously access shared storage?
The article for setting up a high availability cluster at http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... -HACLUSTER states individual volume groups should be setup for each instance as they can only be accessed by a single host at a time. Is that a requirement of that specific cluster implementation or is it a requirement of the Scalix software?
We have been using a single server limited rollout of the Enterpise version and are now looking to expand to up to 30,000 users. It was recommended to assign 3-5K accounts per server. That'll be 10 servers going with the low estimate. Managing this effectively with regards to the internal routing, account distribution, and high availability has me concerned.
My preference would be to use a load balancer in front of a number of Scalix servers that would handle inbound mail and user access concurrently. This would be dependent on multiple instances be able to modify and notice the modifications of a single storage.
Thanks!
