Web Interface accessable externally but not internally

Postby dpinkston » Mon Mar 24, 2008 10:57 am

Hello there! Got a small problem. My e-mail server has 2 ethernet connections. One is external on is internal. I can access the /webmail and /sac externally. However I can not access it internally. This happened after a recent upgrade of scalix, so I am positive it has nothing to do with IPtables or anything similar. Let me know where I can check in my scalix config to see if I have incorrect settings some where.

Thanks in advance,
Derek

Could this have something to do with my /etc/hosts?

The external address is 216.174.22.243 which is easily accessable. However when I try to access it internally via 10.1.1.20 I get

Code: Select all

The requested URL /webmail was not found on this server.

When I was installing scalix it gave me an error about my /etc/hosts. so I had to take out the 10.1.1.20 entry and leave the 216.174.22.243 as well as the 127.0.0.1.

This most likely has something to do with it, I just can't get to the bottom of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Derek

Look in /etc/opt/scalix-tomcat/connector in either jk or ajp (depending on what you are using) and see what the vhost is set to. It likely needs to be modified, as your machine only has the vhost name on one of its IP addresses.

I replaced the virtual host with a *. After that it seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help!
