ADD MAIL-RULE TO PUBLIC FOLDER

Postby stony007_de » Fri Feb 22, 2008 10:56 am

Can i set a server rule, to a public folder which has a configured mailaddress?

I must filter all mails, with specified characters in the subject, but i would not make on the swa.

possible?

Rules can only be set up in mailboxes. Public Folders does not have configuration files attached to them like mailboxes does.

ufff!!! that is terrible!

before a mail access to my scalix, it runs through a Amavis-Milter Server!
This Server check if a mail is spam or not and edit the mail subject with adding "***spam***!

Now i have pubic folder which get mails, and those "Spammails" could not be moved or delete?

You may want to put such emails in a mailbox instead, and delegate rights to it to all the users. Or write a IMAP connector (perl?) that connects to the Bulletin Board and executes the rules.

that sounds like, a lot of work!

is it possible to set rules with sxaa for a goup mailaddress?
my plan:
create a new group with configured mailaddr(routing@scalix.local) and an public folder with a mail address (public@scalix.local)

at first, all my mail will be sent to the group (routing@scalix.local), a configured server policy an the server forward all messages to the bb (public@scalix.local), but only if the message is not marked as spam!

what do you mean? is it possible?

PDLs (Groups in SAC) are also not mailboxes, and cannot have Scalix rules.

Another alternative is to have that address fall down into sendmail, then have procmail do the filtering and have procmail forward it to a different address you put in the Public Folder then.

Unfortunately you will have to go and look around on Google. I can't remember my procmail all that well.
