I suggest you contact Scalix Support about this. You may be able to, but the ordering have to be done correctly.

Running Scalix 10 and Scalix 11 in a multi-server environment is possible. You have to ensure that the route from the v11 to v10 server is version 1 (see man omaddrt on a v11 system).
Running a v11 Scalix Connect for Outlook against a v10 server should be prevented in any case.
