access rights at other user accounts

Postby iceget » Sun Jul 22, 2007 5:06 pm

dear team,

first, ... sorry for my english... ... i hope you will understand me!

my scalix server are running, and the peoples working with it without troubles!

only i have one questions...

i have a user account named "dates" dates@domain.com
and the user acounts named "user1@domain.com" "user2@domain.com"...

i have installed on user1 pc with outlook 2003 the scalix outlook connector.
all working fine!

now my main question:
how i can open and give the rights for the dates@domain.com user?

when i start outlook 2003 with the dates user, and gave all users all rights,
and then i go to the user1 workstation with outlook 2003 and add these user (dates@domain.com) to her account (user1@domain.com) and will it open,
outlook says: access denied...

how i can setup the access rights, that all users (with outlook 2003 and scalix connector) can view the dates@domain.com calendar?

i hope you understand me, and can help me!

thank you very much!

kind regards
mAx

The *sharing* part from OL, or SWA is very easy, and done the same way: just right-click the folder (or mailbox) you want to share and go down to 'Edit Permissions" tag.

On the case of Calendar you can set the default to "All" or change the Roles to some of the preset permissions.

Once that is done that the subscription part can be done either from SWA or OL. Go to Scalix properties, Advanced, and *add* mailboxes.
