omcpoutu & omcpinu

Postby Brian_K » Mon Jul 02, 2007 9:18 am

Is it possible to use omcpoutu to make a copy of a user's message store and then use omcpinu to import that to another email account with a different name on the same OU?

We are in need to do this for tracking some information on a particular account. If using omcpoutu and omcpinu are not possible to accommodate this, is there any other alternatives to accomplish this?

We are running Scalix 10.0.5.3

Scalix 11 supports the more flexible "sxmboxexp" and "sxmboximp" commands which allow you to specify a different name for the target user.
I'm afraid "omcpinu" only allows you to specify a different mailnode (OU1 etc). Using a different mailnode may achieve what you want but you would need to watch out for clashes in internet addresses associated with the users and there might be some routing issues.

Gren.

Hi Gren,

Thanks for your response. I was afraid that was going to be your answer. Well, just another reason why we should move to version 11. I am hopeful to do that in the near future.

Thanks again,
Brian
