I'm looking for some additional assistance on properly configuring the spamass-milter on Suse 9.3. I've followed your instructions on how to set up ClamAV and Spamassassin. I'm using the smtpfilter=true option in the smtpd.cfg file rather than setting up two ip addressess. I'm able to get everything to work, but I just cant seem to figure out how to get the spamass-milter to run properly. I cannot get the shell script to run in /etc/init.d and have to start the milter process manually. Even when I start it manually it locks up the shell. It runs and I can see where it's processing mail in the logs, but as soon as I close the shell the process dies. I'm just learning linux, so I'm sure that I've messed something up in the installation. So if somebody could provide me with some more detailed intstructions on the setup, I would greatly appreciate the help. Also, I've had to do a lot of tweaking to get the system to run properly on Suse 9.3 and am wondering wether it was the right selection, would Red Hat/Fedora Core be a better choice?
