I recently ran out of space on my scalix server so went with the option of issuing warnings and preventing send/receive emails when transgressors went beyond the set limits.
It worked like a dream except for one thing.
When users were prevented from sending emails due to their mailboxes being larger than the allocated size there was a problem. Which was, even though the users cleared emails below the limit, they were still prevented from sending emails. The only way I could allow them to send emails was by removing the limits completely.
I assume that had I left things as they were, then they would have been able to send emails when scalix checked their mailbox sizes during the night to issue warnings. Of course, in a very mail busy environment, I couldn't justify preventing someone from sending or receiving emails for 24 hours after they had obeyed our edicts.
Is there a way I can force the server to revisit the mailbox size limits from the SAC? Or conversely is there a tool I can use.
Sorry if there is an obvious answer folks, but I'm a newbie to Linux and Scalix being more used to (dare I say) Windows and Exchange server....
