Monitoring logged on users

Postby trig » Fri Jan 21, 2005 10:56 am

Hi,

is it at all possible to see which users are currently logged onto the Scalix server, either via Webclient or MAPI? Would be a lot easier then phoning them or going to their desk to see if they are logged on.. Also allows me to keep track of emails etc if I know how long people stay connected for..

greets,

trig

Hello,

Use:

omstat -u all

This shows:

- the Personal Name and mailnode of the user

- the actual Unix login of the user (which is not necessarily the same as the Unix login associated with the Scalix user)

- an indication (Local, Remote, or P7) of the service through which the user is signed on

- the PID of this user's server process

- the time or date of the sign on.

If the -c option is specified (omstat -u all -c), the info displayed is:

- the Personal Name and mailnode of the user

- the PID of this user's server process

- the client currently being used by the user.

'Hope this helps,

Any plan to integrate this as well other valuable information such as the ability to view mailbox properties (folder info such as name and size, etc.) in the SAC?

Thx

This feature is available in the SAC since 9.2.x. From the Server Info->Active Users tab. It will display the necessary information.

Well, the part about who's online is there, but it would be helpful to be able to see the mailbox info to which I referred at all times via SAC. Please add that to a wish-list, if I may be so bold.

Thanks

TMK
