is rules wizard 100% server side?

Postby lleung » Thu Nov 03, 2005 1:36 pm

I primarly use SWA, but I do occationally use outlook and other clients for testing reasons.
I was wondering, rules set from SWA, are they excuted server side? and are the rules affective even if Im not longed in using SWA? What if I decide to fetch my email using imap, are the rules set from SWA still applies? Finally, are the rules applied immediately when the email reaches the server even if no client is logged in?

Thanks

Lynda

Hi Lynda,

Yes, all the rules created from SWA are server based and do not require the client to be running. And, yes, the rules apply whether you use SWA or IMAP or POP or even Outlook and they do get run when the message arrives.

Thanks,
Rachel
