Retreive Messages from Mail Store

Hi there, we have a copy of scalix 9. Recently some of our users had error messages about their personal folders being corrupted in outlook. We helped them to set up new profiles and there were no further problems, except many of their messages were missing.

We do a nightly backup of the server using rsync and I wondering if there is a way of pulling messages out of the mail store in the backup and putting them back in the users live mail store.

If I could make up a command it would be:
omreaddb -f /backup/opt/scalix/data -n username | omwritedb -n username

Until the command you envision exists (and all of us would love that!) I'm afraid you'll need to restore your full backup to another server (a vm is ok), export the user's mailbox from that running server using omcpoutu & import it into your live server using omcpinu.

Make sure you use the same FQDN for both Scalix servers.
