Outlook 2003 Problems

Postby palas5 » Fri Mar 16, 2007 2:56 pm

I installed Scalix 11 Community and using few Scallix connect for Outlook with MS Outlook 2003.

Most of users of MS Outlook 2003 have no problems, but two (2) top excutives.
There Outlook is taking up to 50-80% of CPU when they trying to read e-mail or open new or switch folders.

My server located on subnet outside the local network on my VPN router.

I deleted and recreated there accounts.

What interesting on Web Access there e-mails acting fine.

Anybody had the same problems or have any solutions.

Thanks,
Palas5

Are they using smartcache? Is it still syncing?

Does creating a new Outlook profile without enabling smartcache resolve it? If yes, we'll continue to figure out why the Smartcache isn't working... If no, then it's somewhere else.

As a quick fix, some people have switched to use v10 of the connector. You'll need to download all of 10.0.5, and then extract the connector only, but it will resolve some issues for people who don't need the internationalization. Obviously, you'll give up smartcache, but you aren't using it, and being senior execs, I'd move them to 10, and resolve the problem in a sandbox in advance of redeploying the 11 connector.
