Removal of Calendar

Hello all,

I am looking for a way to remove all calendar items for one user on GA11.021, I Know or I should say I think there is a way via CLI but can not seem to locate an example of HOWTO for one user.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get this done as this one users Calendar is corrupted and causing issues.

If you can't remove the item in question using a client then you'll need to use omcontain - be careful as this tool will not prevent you doing things that could further corrupt your mailstore.

I have to say not too much that I'm aware off beyond the man page & the mention in the admin guide. It should make sense after 15 mins playing on test system though.

Check out the Scalix Tech Note for OM-PAM. Basically, on a vanilla install omcontain uses the 'om_diag' PAM module which by default uses the 'omcontain' password syntax. The confusing thing is it doesn't issue a password prompt as such, you need to enter it when '...hit return now.' is printed. Alternatively comment out the om_diag line in /var/opt/scalix/NN/s/sys/pam.d/omcontain & provided you're a Scalix Admin or root you'll be able to use the command without additional authentication.

Thanks again for the into .. the issue you bring is "test system" .. this is a production box and I really hate to test on a live box. .

SO is there no one out there that can share example SYNTAX for this operation? ..Florian??

Thanks once again .. What if one has 1000's of Calendar items listed .. I want to start over with the Calendar for this specific user .. Is there a global option to remove all calendar items? ..

Just step back in the example I gave you and instead of opening the calendar (in this case 22) delete it.

You might want to backup the user's mailbox first & you'll need to recreate the calendar in OL/SWA afterwards.
