HP Openmail Doc needed.

Postby kanderson » Fri Jan 26, 2007 6:55 pm

Someone must have this... :)

I need to read OLsecurity.doc from a newish version of the openmail MAPI docs.

I have a client who wants to turn off the exe attachment blocking. I don't have a password to read the doc, but here's what I found.

Details of how to customize the behavior of the Outlook Security Update on an OpenMail system can be found in document OLsecurity.doc which is available under the Mapi B.05.40.05 release from the OpenMail Client download page (http://www.openmail.hp.com/cyc/om/00/20 ... which.html).

Any pointers would be great.

Hi,
I was not able to find the Openmail doc, just a OLSECURITY.PDF for Contact, dated December 2002. This should be not far away from the origin.
Comparing that with the v10 Admin Guide I found these informations in the "Virus and Spam Protection" chapter.

If you neet the mentioned PDF for reference, just send me a PM with your e-mail address.

cheers,
Dirk

Dirk has opened ScalixZilla Bug 14606 against the docs for v11.

In this past release, we really scrubbed through the docs in an attempt to pare them down to the most essential task-oriented information. Unfortunately, this procedure got lost in the process. But I've put it back in to the Client Deployment Guide under the Outlook chapter. A new version of that guide with this procedure in it will be posted on the Website some time later this week along with a few other minor rewrites, additions, and corrections to all docs.
In the meantime, go ahead and use the old instructions from the 10.0 guide, substituing ~/ for all references to /var/opt/scalix. As you probably know already from the release notes, ~ is now your equivalent of /var/opt/scalix/<nn> in which <nn> is an identifier for the instance, and in which the directory path can vary if you use a non-standard (non-default) installation path.
