Postby Rebelll » Sun Jan 14, 2007 6:44 pm

Hi,

i am using Scalix 11 Community Edition on a Suse Linux 10.1 System.

After installing Scalix, i create a new premium user, called "Test User" (Test.user@home.lan) and tried to login on swa!

While trying to login i get following message:

The evaluation period for this time-limited product has expired. please contact support@scalix.com to upgrade

I've already checked my disk Space (it was the reason of this message here http://www.scalix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5580&highlight=evaluation+period , but there are 8GB free disk space!

I dont know how i could sove this problem! I hope anybody can help ;)

Most likely you are using a Release Candidate rather than the full version. Go to the Scalix website, and download the GA release. Install it over what you now have, and you'll be upgraded to the "gold" version, which has no built in expiry date.

thx for your answer!

i have already the Scalix 11.0.0 GA Release installed, downloaded from the wiki download area! the package is named scalix-11.0.0-GA-core-suse101-intel.tgz

I think its the package you mean, isnt it?

That's the one. are you SURE you aren't running a beta or a RC still? I'd try running the upgrade to verify.

I could solve the Problem by myself.

After changing the owner of the scalix directory from root to current user, the login works perfectly!

Same issue

Postby fthomas » Mon Jan 15, 2007 11:56 am

With one of my users I had the same issue. Check to see if it is for all users or any in particular. If it is for a particular user, check to ensure that they have web access. Look in the adminstration console under a user in the Advanced tab. If you do not have "User can use SWA", then you will get this error. Scalix: Wrong error for the job, by the way. If I'm totally out to lunch, tell me to take a hike.

Cheers,

Frank.
