Non-Numerical Non-Alphabetical Group Character In group name

Postby matt-j » Mon Jan 08, 2007 7:38 am

Hi

At our company we use an asterisk * character on our current system at the start of our group names - this ensures that groups are listed at the top of the address list.

Is there a way to create a group in Scalix with an * at the start of the group name? I tried to create one in SAC but it doesnt allow it

Hi!

An asterisk (*) is considered to be an invalid character, thus it cannot be a part of name
itself. To demonstrate you, I tried to create a group by name "tes*t" which was not allowed
as well:

[root@subir-rhel4 ~]# omaddpdl -l "tes*t/subir-rhel4" -p pass
omaddpdl : [OM 8013] The name/mailnode contains invalid characters

Thanks,
Subir
