I have a new install of Scalix 11GA running on openSuse 10.1.
Every 4-6 hours, incoming email is not passed to individual user accounts.
Logs show no error messages.
All processes are reported as running.
Shutting down Scalix and restarting does not change the condition.
Restarting the entire server fixes the problem, and the backlog of emails suddenly flood into the user accounts.
This problem happens on another Scalix 11 Beta 1 server that we still have running. There the problem occurs every 12-18 hours. We've put in a crontab to restart the server every morning to make sure users get their email in the morning.
Only difference between the two is that I installed MailWasher. MailWasher appears to be working fine.
When the incoming mail freezes up, MailWasher is unable to process email 'Recovers', saying the Scalix server is unavailable.
During the problem, webmail, sac, POP all work fine. First clue to the problem is when I send a test email to myself, it sends with no problem, but when I look for it in my inbox, nothing is coming through. As I indicated, problem goes away as soon as I restart the ENTIRE server, and stays functional for 4-6 hours.
Look forward to any insights on where to begin looking for the problem. At the moment I have to rate Scalix 11 GA unstable, and cannot afford to leave it unattended for more than a few hours.
