Scalix 10, Entourage and IMAP folder creation problems

G'day. I am having a bit of a problem with the Scalix 10 IMAP server and Entourage.

When creating a new folder Entourage goes through this process:

1. Create a folder 'untitled folder'
2. Issue the IMAP 'UNSUBSCRIBE' command for that folder
3. Rename the folder to the user supplied name

Unfortunately Scalix is responding to the second step, the unsubscribe, with a refusal. Entourage then fails to go any further and we are unable to create new folders.

I can capture the exact IMAP protocol exchange if that helps, but the issue is Scalix responding with this message:

Code: Select all

NO cannot change subscription for that mailbox

Is there anything we can do, either on the client or the server, to improve this situation?

Is this an issue that upgrading to Scalix 11 is likely to resolve?

interesting catch. I don't think we've ever noticed and I also don't think we've done anything with it.

Could you open a bug at http://bugzilla.scalix.com for it, including all information like IMAP trace, etc.

Surprising - I'm a Mac user myself and had used Entourage in the past before switching to Apple mail; However, I'm always switching between clients, so possibly I never tried to create a folder.
