Forwarding messages during Scalix/Exchange Coexistance

Postby rramsey » Tue Jan 02, 2007 3:09 pm

I have Scalix and Exchange coexisting pretty well, but I can't figure out how to create rules to forward two types of messages. First, I would like a copy of all sent mail created in Scalix to be forwarded over to the Exchange account. This way the "sent mail" on both systems is in sync, just as all the incoming messages are.

That being said, messages sent from one scalix user to another scalix user are not forwarded to the respective exchange mailbox. I would like to be able to forward these messages to Exchange also.

The end result of these two rules would be to have all messages replicated on both Scalix and Exchange mail systems.

Has anyone achived this? Could you give an example of setting this up with sxaa?

Thanks...

There is probably no easy way of doing this as we don't currently offer a trigger based on message sent. One could grab copies of sent emails through the archiving interface and replay them, but that would be something to work out.

The only other way is to use client-side features for "always-bcc" or similar.

Our current coexistence scenarios call for users on Exchange with other users on Scalix, but never think about having the same user sync'd on both sides.

Hope this helps anyway,
Florian.
