Contact Display Name lost

I have been running Scalix 10 CE on Centos 4.3 for a couple of months, and have had very few problems so far. BUT I have now received a complaint that the display name for one particular external contact appears to be mangled by Scalix. The contact is set up in the senders' address books as "Ted Mayne (ted@aviationgsa.co.za)".

I have sent a message to contact "Ted Mayne (ted@aviationgsa.co.za)", one through my Scalix account and one through another mail server (MDaemon). The Scalix message arrives in the user's mailbox showing "ted", whereas the message from the MDaemon server arrives correctly showing "Ted Mayne (ted@aviationgsa.co.za)"

Can anyone explain why this is happening or how to resolve this ?

Is there a contact (Internet Address) for the user in SAC with a short name of ted? If so, try replacing that with Ted Mayne, and see if it works.

No info set up in Scalix for this external contact. Any other ideas?
