Imap logon not working

Hi All

I have a sinister problem, i use scalix 10 with imap and via web access, at the moment i cannot logon using imap my imap client times out, when i logon via the command line it just hangs and does not return at all.

Web access is not working either, it hangs at logging in please wait, i can login using pop3 from the command line and view messages.

The fatal log does not mention any thing, but i found this in the other logs

I've had a similar issue. Try restarting the imap and Remote client interface services

omoff -d 0 imap
omon imap
omoff -d 0 "Remote Client Interface"
omon "Remote client interface"

That should at least let you get into your mailbox, if we have similar problems.

I am not really a fun of restarting stuff to get it to work because that does not uncover inherent flaw in the software nor does it provide a fix for it.

I did however go ahead and try that basically the interfaces refused to die and the processes went zombie i had to restart the whole server to get it working again (reminds me of the other OS)

There sure is something wrong with the imap interface when dealing with large amounts of mail.
