errors after user transfers

Postby rex007can » Mon Nov 13, 2006 9:49 am

I deployed a new server over the weekend and moved a numbe of user mailboxes to that server. Everything went pretty smoothly, but there are a few "minor" issues.

1- On certain users, opening webmail generates an error/warning message:
"A potential error was detected with your account. The following list of spacial folders may be corrupt.
[ Contacts ]
Please notify your system administrator about this problem"

But all the data seems to be there just fine. I ram omscan but it didn't fix.
For some users, there's no problem. For some it's just contacts, for others it's other folders too.

2- In Outlook seems to have lost it's link to "contacts" on most accounts. I have to go into the contact folder properties, and recheck the "show folder as address book". Then it comes back normally. BUT the old, unavailable folder stays. So I need to find how to remove "ghost" contact lists from the available contact lists.

That's all for now.

Thanks.

Same situation with two sites

Postby deyjvu » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:51 pm

I have two sites seeing this problem, one is only a test site so not a problem but would like to know how to fix, the other is a production system.

Have tried to omscan just this user with the -f to fix any problems - no change.
Tried to omcpoutu and omcpinu just the filing cabinet where the problem is - no change
Tried to delete everything in the folder that was a problem - no change

With the test account I get the error but can logon and can access the folder which shows all items just fine. However the error continues. With the production problem it is the Calender folder and the problem being reported in the fatal file pointed to one item attached but that has been deleted. This was the error prior to deleting the item:

SERIOUS ERROR Remote Client (U/I Access ) Mon Nov 20 09:35:49 2006

Now he is getting:

ERROR IMAP Server Da(IMAP Server Pr) Tue Nov 21 10:46:26 2006

This is on Scalix Version 10.0.2.2 for both servers.

The production user uses both SWA and Outlook with the SXConnector 10.0.0.352 but both have issues with the Calendar.

On the test system I have also tried to do an Outlook.exe /resetfolder but no change.
