copy/move data from scalix to exchange

Postby pdonlin » Wed Nov 08, 2006 10:52 am

This is a topic I wouldn't expect to find here, but hopefully someone can help me. I have had no problems with Scalix and like how it just plain works, but I need one user to be on an actual Exchange server to allow realtime syncing with a MS Smartphone. Since only one user is needed I am planning on paying 1and1.com $6.99/mo for a exchange mailbox.

Here is my problem: I need to move/copy ~300MB of mailbox folders/items, and the calendar/contacts. Is there an easy way to do this? In the past to move servers I would setup both servers in a client using IMAP and manually create the folder structure, followed by copying all the items over, but that wouldn't work for the calendar and contacts.

Thanks

After some more investigation it looks like I might be able to use the export to PST functionality to make this happen... I will post more when I know more

I don't mean to say that you aren't correct in your decision, but have you checked the mobile functionality in Scalix 11 that is in Beta right now? Apparently theres some good stuff in there. Worth checking out perhaps.

I have but it will only be included in the paid edition of scalix, which makes it impractical for me.
