Getting information about messages in error queue.

Postby chrisj_0 » Wed Nov 01, 2006 1:41 pm

Hi,
I'm getting the "Frequent Maintenance Report" about an email in the error queue this morning. It appears to be an automated email from our PBX accounting system. Is there any way to determine what is corrupt with this email?
I'm know the commands to check the error queue and delete it from there but I don't know how to troubleshoot the cause of the problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TIA,
chrisj

Usually an entry will be in the event logs so you should use omshowlog to view the contents. The problem occurs if you haven't been monitoring this queue for some time, the event logs are cyclical so you may not be able to see log entries for some messages.

Where you can, use the omresub command. If the problem still exists, you'll get another error generated and the message will go back on the ERROR queue.

Cheers

Dave
