Convert Fax Address

Hi,

we want to implement the Faxserver Papageno from Vipcomag. When you want to send a fax via Outlook you type the fax address in send field like this: [FAX:027321111]. Now scalix have to convert this address to this format: 027321111/FAX@fax.intern. After this scalix should transfer this address to sendmail and sendmail to the faxserver.

My question: How I have to configure scalix to convert [FAX:027321111] to this format: 027321111/FAX@fax.intern.

Hi Rudi,

you will need to add the fax address to the SYSTEM addressbook to prevent Scalix from massaging the address. Unfortunately, there is now way to free-form the address in the address field and send a fax to a number that is not stored in the addressbook. This is pretty fundamental in Scalix and when I talked to one of the developers about it he explained this would not be an easy to change behavior. :-(

I would suggest to look at implementing a second instance of sendmail and configuring the Papageno client to send SMTP to that instance.
