Local delivery

Postby Twain » Thu Sep 14, 2006 9:10 am

Hi

I got a really big problem. I wanted to use Postfix for external delivery and tried to change the config-files like in the following link described:
http://www.scalix.com/community/viewtop ... ht=postfix

Now I reversed all the changes, but my mails all got delivered to the Unix-User not the one in Scalix. I am using fetchmail for fetching my mails from an external mailserver and I also tried to write mails directly on the console with "mail user@mailserver.tld"
I think this is a problem with sendmail.
I reinstalled sendmail and reconfigured all Scalix-Components, but the problem is still there.
Please help me, I have to fix this.
Ah and I am using SuSE 10.0 with Scalix 10.0.1

P.S.: Another question: Where are all the Scalix-User-Settings and the mails stored? I think in /var/opt/scalix but I am not sure

Ok, I found the Problem one minute after posting this.
I used mailserver.tld in /etc/hosts for my external device. I removed this and now it is working.
But now I got the Problem that all the mails deliverd with the Problems are stored in the Mailboxes of the Unix-Users. Any idea how I can get them delivered to Scalix?

After reconfiguring sendmail, have you re-run omsendin?

All the mailbox data, as well as the user configuration and related configuration is in /var/opt/scalix, while the web app config is in /etc/opt/scalix

Thank you for your reply.
I used another solution. Not beautiful, but it worked ;)
I logged in as the unix-user and after their ok i forwarded the mails using pine to the correct mailbox. We only have 22 Scalix-Users, so it was not that much work.

No I didn't but I have runned the install-script and said that it should reconfigure my stuff.
What does omsendin do exactly?

omsendin will add some Scalix specific into to the sendmail.cf file. It is very important that this information be present in the sendmail.cf file.

To verify, grep sendmail.cf for the string "ommapsmtp"

If its there, you are ok. If its not, then rerun omsendin, rerun the above grep and then restart sendmail.

Note that the sendmail.cf file get rebuilt with make from sendmail.m4
