One file works one doesn't. The file that works is encoded using uuenview the one that doesn't is encoded by the mailer that is a part of our reporting software. Above is a diff between the two files to show the differences, the report is around 3MB so I just have the diff here. We don't currently have an Enterprise license, but we will be purchasing one soon, so if a patch is required that will be fine. The one that doesn't work just hangs until it times out and sits in the sendmail q.

At first I thought it was a bug with the uuencoding from the proprietary mailer but Thunderbird and Outlook are able to decode it just fine.

Let me know if there is anymore info that I can get for you.

Thanks

The file that doesn't work looks like it has been encoded incorrectly.

The blank line character is a ' character and not a `

Cheers

That is what I thought at first but all of the mail clients I have tried and uudeview can decode the file just fine.

I tried adding a blank at the end so it looks like this:

M-3$U,C8@,#`P,#`@;@TP,#`S,C4Q-30Y(#`P,#`P(&X-=')A:6QE<@H\/`HO
M4VEZ92`Q,#(X"B]2;V]T(#$U(#`@4@HO26YF;R`P(#`@4@H^/@IS=&%R='AR
1968*,S(V,#@P.0HE)45/1@H@
'
`
end

That works, so it looks like we will need to purchase the Enterprise version so we can get the patch that you mentioned in your earlier post.

Thanks
