Receiveing mail but not being delivered to mailboxes

Hi,

We are having a problem with our scalix email server. After being up for a while, the email is not being delivered to the mailboxes we have set up. After we restarted the server, we got all the emails that had been delivered sent to the mailboxes. We did not have this problem on the weekends. What can be done to fix this, other than rebooting the server every time?

With not much to go on here this sounds like local delivery may have aborted for some reason. Are you not familiar with omstat? omstat reveals the status of scalix services.

omstat -s

and

omstat -a

are your friends.

You also need to become familiar with /var/opt/scalix/logs/fatal. Perhaps something in there will offer a bit more information.

The more information you provide the better we are able to help you.

PS. Also become familiar with omoff and omon. For that matter the om and sx commands in /opt/scalix/bin are all very useful. There are man pages for most of them.

I did the omstat, and everything was running.
