Is it standard for the Scalix server to send out the From: header encoded even when there are no characters that need encoding? Mine always goes out as:

Code: Select all

From: "=?US-ASCII?Q?=22Corley=2C_Bill=22?=" <Bill.Corley@mydomain.com>

Can Scalix be configured to stop this or to only do it when required?

Hi Bill,
The messages we've received from you don't have that, but I can see that your friendly name does appear to have quotes around it. How is your name listed in Scalix? What is your friendly name (for your email address) listed?

Thanks,
Rachel

The friendly name (CN) for users is Last, First ... So mine is "Corley, Bill" (without the quotes of course).

I should also ask if you know why some are in this format and others are not? And is there a config somewhere to surpress this behavior?
